In this course, Dan Larsson teaches you how to create impressive drops in the style of Neuro Breaks, inspired by artists like Akov, Tesseracts, and Screamarts.

Video 1 - Drums

In the first video, Dan assembles the drums.

Video 2 - Chords 1

Next, the main chord stab hits on beat one.

Video 3 - Chords 2

After the main chord stab, let's create its complementary pair that vibes well with it.

Video 4 - Pluck

Now, let's make the melodic pluck element that completes the synth section.

Video 5 - Bass 1

The main bass is a simple but elegant tom-like bass sound created using Ableton Operator.

Video 6 - Bass 2

The main bass's pair is a compressed sine-like bass, also using Operator.

Video 7 - Bass Fill

There's a gap between the two basses; let's fill it with a filler bass using Serum.

Video 8 - Reese 1

At the end of the fourth bar, we need a Reese bass, which we'll make using Serum.

Video 9 - Reese 2

At the end of the eighth bar, we'll create a different Reese bass, again using Serum.

Video 10 - FX

Finally, we'll add a super simple riser effect to finish this beat using just a long reverb.
