Welcome to Holy Goof Style Bass House audio course!

Video 1 - Drums

The first step is to put together a punchy drum groove that fits well with the style.

Video 2 - String Saws

Now we’ll add some nice saw-based string sounds to form a Hip-Hop-style musical introduction.

Video 3 - Gritty String Saws

On top of the string layer, we’ll need a higher pitched and grittier string instrument to complete the sound. We’ll make one in this video

Video 4 -Vocoder Grain Pad

The intro needs an element that stands out. For this, we are going to create a pad using a unique sample.

Video 5 - Delay Pluck

To fill the background of the intro, we will design a delay-based pluck instrument.

Video 6 - Offset Percussion

In this video, we’ll add an offbeat percussion sound using Serum to give it some rhythm.

Video 7 - FX

To help move the track along and give it depth, we’ll add some risers and noise sweeps in this video.

Video 8 - Breakdown Pads

The breakdown needs to have more elements than the intro, so in this video we’ll use Ableton Electro and Xfer Serum to add nice organic instruments.

Video 9 - Breakdown Lead

In this video, we’ll design a lead instrument in Serum to make the breakdown more interesting.

Video 10 - Buildup

In this video, we’ll complete the buildup using Kiloheartz’ Pitch Shift’s unique effect.

Video 11 - Bass 1

In this video, we’ll create the first drop bass in Serum.

Video 12 - Bass 2

Next, we’ll build the second drop bass in this video.

Video 13 - Bass 3

Finally, we will design the third drop bass for our song in this video.
