In this course, we are looking into the process of creating an initial static mix. Creating a static mix, is the process of balancing audio signal levels prior to compression, equalization reverb or any other effect. We are initially gain staging each element and position it accordingly in the mix. We are grouping all tracks within groups and balancing each group individually, before mixing them together. This process gives us a clearer idea of the sound we are going for, as well as preserving a restore point for reviewing different mix alterations.
